Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata has agreed a deal join Manchester United this summer and is waiting for both clubs to negotiate a fee, according to the Telegraph .
Man United made Morata their top target to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the big Swede is set to miss the start of next season with a serious knee injury, with his future at the club also uncertain.
Morata has allegedly agreed a deal in principle to the terms that will be offered to him at United and a summer transfer now waits on both clubs agreeing on a fee.
United already had a £52.3million offer rejected by Real, but were hoping a new offer of around £60m would be enough to secure his services.
He told friends he expects to be playing at Old Trafford next season and is looking forward to a reunion with the Portuguese boss.
Morata believes a move to United will guarantee him first-team football and will help his prospects of starting for Spain at next year’s World Cup.
His agent Juanma Lopez confirmed his client needs to find a club where he will play as he had only started 14 La Liga games for Real, and it seems like Old Trafford could be that place.
